APSA's High school conference
During my 2nd academic school year, I was the current Academic Coordinator Assistant for the Asian Pacific Student Alliance, an on campus student organization. Within my position, I had the opportunity of organizing and hosting an event called a High School Conference. This event promotes higher education and encourages students to pursue their passion and follow their dreams. During this event, a keynote speaker motivates the audience, a student panel answers questions high school students may have about college, workshop leaders give information through fun activities, and finally a talent show is hosted allowing students to showcase their talents and abilities.
A few of the people involved in helping my co-planner and I execute this amazing event. Also displayed is our flyer in which we posted around campus, high school classrooms, and at local San Diego coffee shops.
